• From the DC Beltway:
  • Take exit #177 --- Route 1 South.
  • Continue south for 5.0 miles.
  • Turn left at the light onto Mount Vernon Highway (Route 235), just after you pass the Cineplex on the right.
  • The road will fork very soon . . . bear right. You are now on Old Mount Vernon Road.
  • You will pass Riverside ES on your right; the Rec Center is immediately after that on the right.
  
  
• From Fort Belvoir and points south
  • Continue north on Route 1.
  • Turn right at the light onto Mount Vernon Memorial Highway.
  • Follow the curves until the light for Old Mount Vernon Road.
  • Turn left and go straight for 0.8 miles; the Rec Center will be on the left.
